How are you different from other log home companies?
Our goal is to make building your
dream home simple, and we accomplish this goal by
being both your builder and material supplier. Old Hickory Log Homes
and Construction is the only place in the Lake Norman and
surrounding area where an
experienced licensed builder will supply you with the components you
need for your log home and build them into the beautiful custom log
home of your dreams. You will be buying a log "home", not a log
package and the promise of a builder. We can provide you quality
materials in any log style and wood type you desire, and because of
our brokering power with national log milling companies, that
unlimited variety of log home products is available to you at a
great price. Our many years of experience in the log home industry
will give you the peace of mind you will need to be confident in
your building venture.
2. Do you offer custom floor plans?
If you can dream it, we can build it.
Every home built by Old Hickory is completely custom. From the
foundation to the final nail, the home is unique to you, so we do
not restrict you to a limited book of plans. Along with the guidance
of our design team, you will plan your home to be as individual as
you are. The possibilities available to you are endless, and we
pride ourselves in making your dream home become a reality.
3. Can you help with financing and build us a home ready to move
into?
Our "turn key" home is what
sets us apart from the rest of the log home industry . This means
that Old Hickory will be responsible for the entire process, or
"turn key" of your home. We will work together to customize the
features of your home, starting with the floor plan. If you need
help with the construction financing, one of our local banks will be
glad to talk with you about your needs. A recent quote from one of

Once
all this is in order, our craftsmen will begin construction of your
new home. We will make sure everything is completed to your
satisfaction, and in a timely manner.

What other building options do you offer?
A "dry in" option is also available. This type of service provides
you with the same quality materials and our log craftsmanship, but
we stop at the stage where you home is "weather tight". You may then
complete the home yourself. If you need help with the final
completion from subcontractors, we will be glad to introduce you to
the experienced trades people that are involved with the completion
of our turn key homes. We also know every client may have individual
needs other than these two options, such as "materials only". You
may already have a contractor, or intent on building the home
yourself, and we can provide quality log and material components to
fit your needs.

Do you have model homes that we can see?
Yes. You can view some of our work on the

pages. We will also be glad to accompany you to home sites in person
so you may get an "up close" view of our quality craftsmanship.
